Reid Independent Financial Advisers is a trading name for Reid & Co Financial Services Ltd. We are regulated by the Financial Services Authority and are committed to staying “Independent” so we may offer clients a totally unbiased and professional service.
Formed in 1992 to provide financial services solutions for a long established accountancy practice. It has grown from strength to strength since this time offering services to a wide client base. It is now a separate entity following a management buyout. All the staff have purchased shares in the business and we believe this demonstrates the commitment and dedication of the team to provide a professional and first class service to our clients.
In 2005 we moved to Shenley Pavilions as part of our expansion plan to further develop the business.

Melvyn joined the Financial Services business in 1978 and has worked in a number of different areas gaining wide experience. Along with Sandra he started Reid & Co Financial Services Ltd in 1992 and has seen the business go from strength to strength in that time to a point where the business is one of the largest independently owned IFA firm in Milton Keynes.
He is an authorised individual under the Financial Services Act to provide advice. |

Bernie Downes has been involved in Financial Services since 1976. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute. He has spent a lot of his career involved in the pension’s arena. This included acting as a Pensioner Trustee representative for a large insurer as well as dealing with all types of defined benefit and defined contribution schemes in both an administrative and advisory basis.
He is the authorised individual within Reid and Co to deal with Transfers and other authorised classes of business. |
